Sufiya Abdur-Rahman has been reporting and writing for newspapers and magazines since she was a student at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her work has appeared in The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington City Paper, Black Enterprise, The Source, Savoy and The Crisis, among other publications. She earned a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Howard University and will earn a master of fine arts in creative nonfiction from Goucher College in August 2012.
